Bio

Based in Los Angeles, Esma Annemon Dil specializes in creating spaces filled with character and personality that transcend their era by using vintage sourced or custom-designed elements whenever possible. Working closely with small manufacturers all over the world, she designs objects, furniture, tiles, wallpapers, fabrics, and develops color concepts, including hand-mixed pigments, and murals. She offers consulting for new constructions, restorations, reimaginations, production sets, virtual worlds, and supports clients in curating their art, decoration, and book collections. The interiors she designed have been featured as a location in 100+ advertising campaigns and in magazine editorials. Because collaborations are often an essential part of the process, clients can benefit from her large international network of creatives and makers. Since 2012 she is also part of 5by5, a collective of architects and designers in Munich, Zurich, London, Dubai, and Los Angeles. Drawing on her experience as a magazine editor, Esma Annemon Dil approaches new projects with journalistic curiosity and a deep interest in aesthetics, culture, psychology, and storytelling.
