About
Mostafa Metwaly is an Architect and an Assistant Lecturer. Despite the obstacles that prevented him from earning an academic post after earning his B.Sc. degree from Cairo University, he did not let this setback stop him from chasing his dream of becoming an influential academic community member. Mostafa was able to become a part-time Teaching Assistant position in some of the recognized academic institutions that included Cairo University and the Arab Academy for Science and Technology until he finally earned his full-time position at the Modern Sciences and Arts University.
In 2013 he successfully earned his M.Sc. degree in Architectural Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering at Cairo University in the Environmental Design major, with a first-of-kind thesis that focused on the nanotechnological integration to the architectural field. Mostafa is currently working on the final stage for earning his Ph.D. degree from the same institution with another unique topic that focuses on the opportunities of integrating the Cyber-Physical System. Since then, the scientific contribution started in 2017. He successfully published four scientific articles with different topics that targeted local and international journals and conferences, including the one related to his Ph. D. degree, which he published in the Q1 ranked Alexandria Engineering Journal.
In addition to the academic career, Mostafa has a prosperous professional career that includes being a team member of some extraordinary firms, where he was able to gain a great deal of expertise in different areas of projects, which ended up allowing him to become a part of the Procurement and Branding Teams at Orange Egypt. In 2020 Mostafa successfully established his business firm under the title of M³ Architectural Studio®. Furthermore, he participated in some architectural competitions, where he teamed up with some extraordinary colleague architects. Together, they were able to win the Merit Prize in the “Rehabilitation of ‘Sednaoui Al Khazendar’ Building” competition and the 2nd Prize in the “Ayat Community Hub” competition.
Mostafa has a funny but yet a competitive character. He is a former athlete who won many different medals in swimming and rowing competitions, and he also likes to generate Arabic calligraphy designs for famous quotes.
