Sara karama, an Architect with eight years of experience working alongside several teams. She took her bachelor of Architecture Engineering from The American University in Cairo, and granted her Masters degree from University of East London, United Kingdom; and she is exploring her design passion since then. She worked as a professor assistant in the American University in Cairo for seven years. Also, she worked as an architect then business development officer, design manager, up to the operations manager in other design firms; currently she is the COO of Sa n el Design, an interior design studio based in Zurich and she manages the Cairo office. Her portfolio has a various mix of different scales projects. She worked on interior commercial projects, architecture of centers and institutions, residential compounds and complexes. Her experience is not only limited to Cairo - Egypt, but also in other places such as Gouna, Marsa Matrouh, Dubai, Qatar, Italy, and other. Managing different typologies as such gave her a good expertise in design, in managing teams and dealing professionally and friendly with clients. Sara is a powerful force in the workplace and uses her positive attitude and tireless energy to encourage others to work hard and succeed. After doing her architectural masters, she continued immediately in her PHD with her topic "architecture for safer cities" discussing mainly cultural crime and how can architecture help reducing it. Her dream is to be able to transfer her knowledge and experience to the coming generations aiming for better architecture in Egypt.
